After Demonetization the E-wallet app PayTm usage has become high everywhere. Even at small stalls, the PayTm has widely come into existence. The Government has planned for digital transactions and cashless economy. Also to encourage the digital payment system the Government has recently introduced the cash prizes for transactions on various cards like RuPay card, USSD, and other cards.

In recent days, the Government has also been holding ‘Digi Dhan Mela’ camps in various urban areas to teach and advantages of cashless transactions. Today, PM Narendra Modi has announced a rebranded form of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app at the Digi Dhan Mela camp in Delhi. Called “BHIM” which remains for Bharat Interface for Money, the app is produced by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is accessible for Android Smartphones by means of Google Play Store.

UPI apps went live recently in August with 21 banks. Though, the payment interface was coordinated into the managing an account apps with different elements as well. The BHIM app, then again, accompanies a basic interface and is worked for convenience. The application is around 2MB in size. On beginning the app, you will be requested that offer service to send an SMS and enroll your mobile number. How does it work?Merchants need to download the Aadhaar cashless merchant app on their smartphones connected to a biometric reader, which is currently available for Rs 2,000. The customer will then feed his or her Aadhar number into the app, select the bank through which the transaction will take place, and the biometric scan will work as a password for the transaction to be authenticated.Utilities of BHIM AppUnlike other UPI apps where you have a cluttered interface, BHIM is a no-frills UPI app.You have the option to send money, request moneyscan and pay using QR CodeCreating UPI Address on ‘BHIM’ AppBy default, your registered mobile is your UPI address.
